But here's the good news: the purchase costs for the Rapture tabletop are absolutely manageable!

Our starter boxes deserve their name and really do contain everything you need to get started right away. The starter for each faction contains a fully-fledged battlegroup that brings the 100 points you need straight to your playing field!

Unit profile cards and mission cards are also included, as well as markers required for the game. The quick start rules are also included for an easy start!

Our add-ons offer a step-by-step way to expand your collection without having to dig deep into your pockets. We also set a high priority on quality so that you can enjoy our models for a long time.

We understand that many players already have a bunch of unpainted miniatures. Battle groups in Rapture usually consist of 3 to 7 miniatures, depending on the chosen faction.

To make assembling the miniatures as easy as possible, we provide detailed assembly instructions for each model.

For painting, you will find recommended color information on the Starter Boxes, which will help you to quickly and easily follow the standard painting scheme. The models are highly detailed and designed so that they look great on the playing field even with simple painting techniques!

Activate alternately

Adding an extra layer of excitement, Rapture uses an alternating activation system based on unit Initiative, ensuring a dynamic and deeply strategic flow of gameplay. No longer confined to traditional turn-based approaches, Rapture empowers players to make strategic decisions that directly impact the battlefield. The initiative of the units determines the first activation of each round. During the round, the players' units are activated in turn, so that all players are seamlessly integrated into the flow of battle.

Use Actions and Reactions

Beyond the battlefield, master the art of resource management. Use action points for your units' actions and reaction points to respond to your opponent’s moves independently! Moving, fighting, collecting mission objectives, or interacting with terrain – all of these cost action points. Spend them strategically during your activation, and they will be replenished in the next round.

In Rapture, our interactive mechanics redefine tabletop warfare, offering you tactical depth in both close and ranged combat. Engage in dynamic close combat by choosing to evade or counter-blow strategically. In ranged combat, your decisions on seeking cover or firing a counter shot shape the outcome.

You activate your units in alternating turns, ensuring that all players are always actively engaged in the flow of the game. Even when it's not your turn, the game remains exciting – after all, you can respond to many of your opponent's actions with a well-timed reaction!

Manage your ressources

A special feature in Rapture is the inclusion of both Health Points and Morale Points. Similar to classic health bars, morale points also function as a status indicator. Both values can be targeted individually, and depending on the losses incurred, they can trigger various negative or even positive effects, dynamically altering the unit’s combat behavior.

A unit can be eliminated in two different ways: If its health points drop to zero, it is removed from the battlefield. However, if its morale drops to zero, the unit will escape. Since certain actions also consume morale points, morale becomes a crucial resource in the game, and its strategic use often determines victory or defeat.

Pursue asymmetrical missions

Say goodbye to monotonous battles over the same piece of terrain! In Rapture, each player embarks on their own unique mission, creating a dynamic and varied gameplay experience.

Completing your mission objectives is crucial for victory, but just as important is preventing your opponent from achieving theirs. Some factions even have special missions that can only be played and completed by that specific faction.

Each of our faction starter packs includes three unique missions, and we also offer a mission pack with 10 additional exciting missions to further enhance the variety of gameplay!

Master different unit types

Assemble your own battle group and lead it into the fight! A typical battle group consists of 3 to 5 units with a total point value of 100 points. You have the freedom to customize your force according to your preferences, choosing from various unit types such as Heroes, Bands, Squads, and Squad Upgrades.

Heroes are powerful characters that operate as single models, while Bands consist of a leader and their assistants. Squads, which form the backbone of every faction, are made up of multiple models, and with Squad Upgrades, you can further adjust and refine their playstyle. Each unit is unique, with its own name, background story, and an individual profile card featuring skills and combat stats.

These different unit types not only add variety but also bring tactical depth to the game. They behave differently on the battlefield and benefit from smart tactics and synergies, allowing you to get the most out of your battle group.

Maneuver skillfully through terrain

The match lasts 6 rounds, with the first activation of each round determined by the initiative of the units still active. This mechanic allows you to plan ahead tactically - if you know who has the first turn in the next round, you can decide whether to act defensively or perhaps grab the mission objective after all!

The playing field measures 90x90 cm (3x3 feet), so you can also use game mats from other systems. In Rapture, we measure everything in centimeters, which allows for more precise range tuning. Our terrain rules are versatile, feel natural and logical and give you a lot of tactical freedom. Don't have suitable terrain at home? No problem! Download our Print & Play terrain directly from our homepage, assemble it quickly and off you go!

Win through victory points

The goal of the match is to collect victory points - whoever has the most at the end wins, even if their own battle group has been eliminated. You earn victory points by completing your mission objectives and taking out enemy units. If you manage to completely eliminate the enemy battle group, the match ends immediately and you receive a bonus on top of the victory points you have already collected!

But be careful: simply eliminating units will not lead you to victory. A clever mix of tactical decisions is the key to success - victory will be difficult to achieve simply by eliminating your opponent's troops.

Rely on strategy, flexibility and tactics to emerge victorious in the end!

Gameplay

Command fearsome creatures from the depths of the sea and defeat your adversaries with genetically modified, superhuman warriors. Take a quick dive through the spring cracks across the battlefield and come up to strike where it hurts the most! Use Atlantis for a deadly combination of speed and resilience.

Story

Long before the Sumerians, Elamites, and Egyptians, the Atlanteans, alongside the people of the Icnun, developed an early high culture on Earth. Inhabiting a land mass in today’s Aegean Sea, the civilization of Atlantis received technology from the angels in 3512 BCE as part of the initiation into the role of Wardens, initially on a trial basis. Instead of completing the angels’ tasks, however, the Atlanteans pursued their own agenda and began to research the angels and the civilization of the gods. In 3114 BCE, Atlantis was destroyed by the angels and any survivors went into hiding in Egypt. After Caesar’s invasion, the people of Atlantis decided to seek refuge in the sea where they could find peace from events above ground. With the help of genetic research, they adapted their bodies to their new environment and set about rebuilding their once powerful civilization. Atlantis is still determined to fulfill its aim of finding out more about the gods – and taking revenge on the angels and everything associated with them.

Massive, resilient, terrifying, and full of destructive power, the Angels offer a gaming experience of dominance and invincibility. Despite their small numbers, the Angels have an enormous range of action thanks to their wings and heightened state of battle readiness. With the Angels, you will possess a fierce and mighty force, always looking to find its match.

Story

The angels were created by a civilization classified as Type III on the Kardashev scale – commonly referred to as “gods” – in the center of the Milky Way. Originally entrusted with the cultivation and harvesting processes, the angels were further developed into combat units after the first confrontation with the Lhon’Dar. Once the harvesting sphere has been successfully deployed on a planet, the angels are responsible for cleansing the planet and preparing it for the next cultivation. The angels appear to absorb the light around them, which is why they always seem to be surrounded by darkness.

Gameplay

The New World Order faction triumphs with powerful weapons technology paired with the use of ancient magic. Choose the New World Order to maintain control over the battlefield, cancel out game mechanics with unique abilities, foil your opponent’s plans, and always have a trick up your sleeve!

Story

That individuals with special abilities exist was discovered by Adam Weishaupt early on. He recognized the potential of his discovery and began to systematically track down the victims of witch hunts and provide them with a safe place to go into hiding. A secret society soon evolved from this undertaking, which Weishaupt called the “Illuminati” and used to manipulate the balance of power in Europe to his advantage. When the Templars became aware of him, however, he saw himself forced to find a new place of refuge in North America, which was still shaken by the Civil War. Due to the change in government and the general unrest, it was much easier for Weishaupt to set up a secret society there that covertly intervenes in world affairs. Through the foundation of the “Council of 13”, the New World Order was born.

Story

Alongside the civilization of Atlantis, the Icnun in the region of today’s Central America represented the second high culture on Earth. Like Atlantis, the Icnun received advanced technology from the Angels in 3,500 BC as part of a trial to become the guardian race of Earth. While Atlantis was ultimately destroyed, the Icnun fulfilled their task with unwavering loyalty and were successfully chosen as the guardian race in 3,114 BC. Using the technology provided by the Angels, the Icnun concealed their capital city, Tayach'inxla, deep within the jungles of Central America and gained access to Agartha, a network of portals enabling rapid travel across the entire planet. Over the centuries, other early civilizations in Central and South America developed on the foundations of the Icnun's culture. Since the Atlantean invasion of Central America in 1519, during which they discovered the Icnun's power stone, the Icnun had vanished without a trace, and their presence faded into the mists of history. Now, in the year 2049, the Icnun return with their advanced technology, deadly blood magic, and lightning-fast attacks, determined to reclaim their role as guardians of humanity and fulfill the mission given to them by the Angels.
